First light
First light
"First Light" began as a visual interpretation of inner strength, inspired by the grounding themes of a live yoga session, I painted the initial work during a core strength yoga class. I thought about the idea of centeredness and core energy, using bold or flowing forms to express stability and growth as I painted.
As the painting has matured, it has blossomed into a tranquil blue landscape, where delicate trees reach upward, bathed in a soft golden light. The interplay between the cool blues and the warmth of the gold suggests the dawning of a new day, a moment of awakening or transformation. The trees may stand as symbols of life and resilience, while the golden light feels like the emergence of clarity or enlightenment, casting a peaceful glow across the landscape. "First Light" captures both the stillness and energy of a quiet, transformative moment.
