Raumars community project
During summer 2016 , Artist Nicole Hudson and I were selected to run a community Project within a centre for the unemployed people of Rauma, Finland. The Rauman Seudun Työttömät welcomed us and our crazy ideas to turn three blank office block rooms into colourful Sketchbook pages that we could walk through.
The 12 participants signed up for our 'Art in Spaces' workshops that ran over the course of one month.
The workshops entailed trips to parks and forests where we made pop up installations and made observational drawings. We then took inspiration from these spaces and took the natural forms we had seen into the rooms of the Rauman Seudun Työttömät.
